Job Responsibilities Analyzes, evaluates, and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, economic trends, and design and development of new products for consideration by other management team members. Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing market opportunities. Cooperates with other top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals. Develops initial and subsequent modifications of the product assurance program to delineate areas of responsibility, personnel requirements, and operational procedures within the program. Evaluates contents of reports and confers with top management personnel preparatory to formulating the fiscal budget for the product assurance program. Conducts management meetings to establish, delineate and review organizational program policies, coordinate functions, and operations between departments, and establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives. Interface with customers on technical/quality issues and improvement initiatives. Responsible for managing customer audits and regulatory/compliance agency audits. Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures. Provides factory support to identify and resolve purchased parts, materials, and manufacturing issues. Confers with engineers about quality assurance of new products designed and manufactured on the market to rectify problems. Leading the quality function within Flextronics, with overall responsibility for delivering the entire Quality System to the business and ensuring consistent, compliant best practices in critical processes are applied across our organization. The position requires extensive interaction and intense liaison activities with internal management teams and externally with customers and regulatory agencies. Establishing continuous improvement programs for all the company, defining and implementing the quality policy and guidelines, and homogenizing the quality systems to detect, solve and prevent manufacturing processes. Develops, implements, and coordinates product assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. Coordinates projects and activities to achieve and maintain the qualification of agency-sponsored programs, such as ISO.
