Principal Electrical Engineer

Job Description: · Assist to lead the technical and project management delivery of electrical projects · Assist tender bid for electrical Services · Formalise standards for specifications, drawings, etc. in conjunction with other Team Leaders and Division Leaders · Keep Team members informed and aware of the latest practices, materials availability, legislative rules and regulations, etc. · Prepare/provide Conceptual Design/sketches · Ensure technicality/Design documentation work carried out by team members is appropriate and comply with codes and local authority requirements · Ensure various project submissions are made on time and follow up on comments to obtain approval · Ensure concept and sketch designs are approved before progressing to the next stage · Oversee and control efficiency and quality of work produced by the Team members · Ensure timeliness of production of works carried out by the Team · Attend Client meeting and critical project meetings · Mentoring junior staffs · Review the detailed electrical Calculations Report, design, and drawings. · Review presentation slides’ technical/Design · Coordinate with the client, consultant, and Contractor on design, construction and submission aspects of projects Job Requirements: · Master or Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (Recognised by Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore) · Must have experience working with an engineering design consultancy firm · Min. 6 years’ experience in the design/construction industry · Competent knowledge of local practice, i.e. Code of Practice, Standards and local authority submission · Knowledge & experience in the process of obtaining TOP/CSC for the projects · Good report writing, communication and presentation skills
