Overview We are looking for a Senior Quality Automation Engineer to drive end-to-end quality assurance across modern digital products. You will be responsible for designing and implementing automation strategies, building scalable test frameworks, integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring high-quality software releases. Working closely with developers, product managers, and UX teams, you will champion quality throughout the software development lifecycle while contributing to continuous improvement and production support. Responsibilities Define and own the end-to-end testing strategy, covering both functional and non-functional testing. Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks, test plans, and test cases aligned with evolving business requirements. Integrate automated testing into GitLab CI/CD pipelines to enable fast feedback, parallel execution, flaky test detection, and comprehensive reporting. Promote shift-left testing practices by collaborating with developers and product teams on testability, code reviews, and acceptance criteria. Manage test environments, including test data preparation, masking, mocking, and environment dependencies. Lead defect triage activities and work closely with engineering teams to resolve issues efficiently. Define, monitor, and analyse quality metrics such as test stability, failure rates, escaped defects, and Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR). Partner with technical leads to establish and execute the long-term quality assurance roadmap. Support production issue investigation and resolution when required. Drive continuous improvements in testing processes, automation coverage, and release quality. Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in software quality assurance with strong hands-on test automation experience. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, risk-based testing, and quality engineering best practices. Experience building and maintaining automated testing frameworks within CI/CD environments. Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript. Experience with modern web application technologies; familiarity with React and backend frameworks is an advantage. Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Cucumber, Jest, or Mocha. Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or Locust is an advantage. Familiarity with application security testing and collaboration with Application Security (AppSec) teams. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
