About this role

Job Description The role reports directly to the Deputy General Manager and is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects in the power quality, energy storage, and renewable energy sector. The Site Manager is accountable not only for technical execution, safety, and quality, but also for commercial performance, client relationship management, and business development, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and contribute to future business growth. Responsibilities: 1. Project Planning & Initiation Lead overall project planning, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution strategy. Review and understand all technical documents including construction drawings and Single-Line Diagrams (SLD). Develop detailed project execution plans, method statements, and work schedules. Identify project risks at early stages and implement mitigation strategies. 2. Coordination & Communication Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internaldepartments. Ensure effective communication of project requirements to site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Liaise closely with Engineering, Commercial, Quality, Safety, and Operations teams for smooth execution. Conduct and lead coordination meetings; record and track minutes of meeting and action items. 3. Site Execution & Delivery Oversee all site activities to ensure works are carried out according to schedule, specifications, and quality standards. Supervise subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with project requirements and timelines. Coordinate all site matters including logistics, manpower, and site facilities planning. Ensure timely project delivery by proactively resolving site issues and constraints. 4. Quality, Safety & Compliance Ensure all works comply with safety regulations, quality procedures, and statutory requirements. Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and eliminate potential hazards. Review and approve method statements submitted by subcontractors. Enforce high standards of workmanship and ensure adherence to project specifications. 5. Project Monitoring & Control Monitor project progress, deliverables, and key milestones to ensure alignment with schedule and requirements. Track and report project performance including progress, risks, and issues to management. Maintain proper project documentation, records, and reporting systems. Ensure all project activities are completed within approved timelines and scope. 6. Cost Control & Commercial Management Manage overall project cost, budget, and profitability, ensuring financial targets are met. Monitor cost versus budget and implement cost control measures where necessary. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations with both technical and commercial considerations. Ensure timely preparation and submission of progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts. Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks and contractual obligations. Support contract administration including claims management, negotiations, and dispute resolution. 7. Client Management & Value Creation Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders. Understand client needs and provide technical solutions and value engineering where applicable. Proactively identify opportunities for scope enhancement, variation orders, and additional works. Ensure high customer satisfaction to support repeat business and long-term partnerships. 8. Business Development & Strategic Contribution Identify and develop new business opportunities arising from ongoing and completed projects. Support tendering and proposal activities by providing execution strategies, cost inputs, and technical insights. Participate in commercial and technical discussions to strengthen the company’s competitive positioning. Provide feedback on market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to management. Contribute to the company’s growth by leveraging project experience into future opportunities. 9. General Responsibilities Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by management.
