The Full-Time Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students while supporting the professional development and training of teachers and tutors. The successful candidate should be confident in teaching, facilitating training sessions, developing educational materials and maintaining consistent teaching standards across the school. Key Responsibilities 1. Teaching and Student Development Conduct engaging and structured lessons for primary and/or secondary students. Teach assigned subjects, including English, Mathematics and/or Science, based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Prepare lesson materials according to the school’s curriculum and teaching standards. Identify students’ learning needs and provide suitable guidance and support. Monitor students’ academic progress, participation and learning habits. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents. Maintain proper student progress records, lesson reports and follow-up actions. Manage classroom behaviour and create a safe, respectful and productive learning environment. Encourage students to become responsible, independent and motivated learners. 2. Teacher and Tutor Training Conduct onboarding and training sessions for new teachers, tutors and interns. Train teaching staff on the school’s curriculum, lesson delivery methods, classroom management practices and operational standards. Demonstrate effective teaching techniques through lesson demonstrations and role-play activities. Observe lessons and provide clear, practical and constructive feedback. Support teachers in improving their lesson planning, student engagement and classroom communication. Prepare training materials, guidelines, teaching resources and standard operating procedures. Follow up with trainees to ensure that training standards are understood and implemented consistently. 3. Curriculum and Quality Assurance Review and improve lesson plans, worksheets, teaching materials and assessments. Ensure that curriculum materials are accurate, age-appropriate and aligned with the school’s learning objectives. Work with the academic team to develop new programmes and teaching resources. Monitor the effectiveness of lessons and recommend improvements where necessary. Ensure consistent teaching quality and professional standards across different classes and teachers. Participate in curriculum meetings, teacher development sessions and academic reviews. 4. Centre and Operational Support Communicate professionally with students, parents, colleagues and management. Attend staff meetings, training sessions and school activities. Support student assessments, placement tests, workshops, camps and school events when required. Assist with relief teaching and other academic duties where necessary. Follow the school’s policies, communication procedures and professional conduct standards. Carry out other education-related responsibilities assigned by management. Requirements Diploma or degree in Education, English, Mathematics, Science or a related field. Relevant teaching, tutoring or training experience is preferred. Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain concepts clearly. Confident in conducting lessons and training sessions for groups. Good classroom management, communication and presentation skills. Able to provide constructive feedback and guide teachers professionally. Responsible, organised and able to complete proper documentation and follow-up. Comfortable using digital teaching tools, presentation software and online learning platforms. Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Willing to work during weekday afternoons, evenings and weekends according to the centre’s schedule. Preferred Attributes Experience teaching primary or secondary school students in Singapore. Familiarity with the Singapore MOE syllabus. Experience in teacher training, lesson observation or curriculum development. Able to teach more than one subject. Bilingual proficiency would be an advantage. Positive, patient and committed to continuous improvement.
