Position Purpose Lead and further develop the Polymer business in Asia by strengthening commercial leadership, expanding existing polymer product lines into additional markets, and building a more technical sales approach for strategic applications and future growth areas. Key Responsibilities • Lead sales performance and profitable growth of the Polymer business across the defined Asian markets. • Drive expansion of existing polymer products, including Santoprene and other strategic product lines, into additional geographies such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and other relevant markets. • Develop a stronger technical sales approach for Engineering and High Performance Polymers, particularly for new business outside existing key accounts. • Identify and develop opportunities in strategic markets such as mobility, electrical and electronics, industrial and consumer applications, medical and other relevant segments. • Maintain and grow relationships with key customers, including trade molders, OEMs, tiers and strategic accounts. • Work closely with Product Management, suppliers, segment colleagues and local sales teams to build pipelines, qualify opportunities and support project conversion. • Provide commercial direction, coaching and support to the Polymer sales team and future sales talent in the region. • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer needs and supplier developments, and translate these into actionable business plans. • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, pipeline updates and performance reports for management review. • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and applicable standards. Required Profile • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in sales, business development or commercial leadership within polymers, plastics, chemicals or a related technical industry. • Proven ability to lead commercial growth across multiple markets or countries. • Strong network in the polymer / plastics industry, preferably across Asia. • Good understanding of engineering plastics, technical sales processes, polymer applications and customer project development. • Experience working with suppliers, product management, technical teams and commercial stakeholders. • Ability to attract, assess and develop future commercial talent. • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management skills. • Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science or a related field; technical background is an advantage.
