IT Manufacturing Applications Engineer

Responsibilities Design, maintain and continuously improve assigned Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications and components. Provide 24/7 Level 1 and Level 2 support to ensure the smooth operation of production lines. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to minimise production downtime. Work closely with other IT teams to improve system response time and maximise system availability. Gather user requirements to design, develop and deploy enhancements for Shop Floor Automation applications, particularly Equipment Manager automation solutions. Prepare technical documentation and coordinate application enhancements within the assigned area. Plan, coordinate and conduct user training for assigned applications. Collaborate with other departments on productivity improvements, cost reduction, error reduction and other continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline, or a Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or an equivalent discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience in Equipment Manager automation solutions. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience supporting Shop Floor Automation (SFA), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES),Equipment Automation, or factory automation applications within a semiconductor, manufacturing or other high-tech production environment. Proficient in SQL (Oracle preferred). Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with MES, Shop Floor Automation(SFA), Equipment Automation, SECS/GEM, TIBCO (TIB/RV), ZNT PAC development, fab automation projects, or Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) applications such as SPC, RMS and MES will be an advantage.
