Field Service Engineer / Customer Engineer – Role Summary Key Responsibilities Support Senior Field Service Engineers (Customer Engineers) with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment upgrades at customer sites. Utilize digital analytics and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve equipment issues. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on:Electrical systemsVacuum systemsMechanical systemsPlasma systemsHydraulic systemsGas delivery systems Communicate and coordinate directly with customers regarding service activities and equipment status. Carry out additional assigned operational and technical duties. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree, military technical training, trade certification, or equivalent field service experience. 1–2 years of experience in field service, customer support, equipment maintenance, or a related technical role. Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics. Basic troubleshooting and diagnostic experience. Fundamental knowledge of:PneumaticsHydraulicsElectronicsVacuum technologyThermodynamics Familiarity with hand tools and test equipment such as digital multimeters. Good written and verbal communication skills. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport if travel is required. Ability to comply with customer site safety, environmental, and health requirements. Preferred Qualifications 2–4 years of experience in field service support or a related technical field. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Frequent walking and standing for extended periods. Ability to work in confined spaces and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, reaching, and climbing ladders or stairs. Ability to work at heights and lift up to 35 lbs (16 kg). Capability to distinguish colors for electrical and equipment work. Comfortable working around electrical systems and in noisy environments. Regular use of hand tools and power tools.
