Job Overview: We are seeking a creative and skilled Multimedia Officer / Graphic Designer to join Golden Pagoda Buddhist Temple. The successful candidate will conceptualise, design and produce visual communication materials for Buddhist ceremonies, temple events and publicity initiatives. This role requires strong graphic design skills, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic temple environment. Responsibilities: Conceptualise, design and produce creative materials for Buddhist ceremonies, temple events and publicity initiatives, including flyers, posters, signages, annual reports, magazines, name display cards, announcements, labels and website content. Develop creative concepts and visual designs that effectively communicate publicity messages and support the temple's branding initiatives. Liaise with printing vendors and external suppliers to ensure artwork meets production specifications and quality standards. Photograph and record temple ceremonies, activities and events through photography and videography for documentation, publicity and archival purposes. Assist in creating and updating digital content for the temple's website and social media platforms. Assist in temple events and activities as required. Undertake any other duties as assigned by the temple management. Requirement: Diploma in Visual Communication, Multimedia, Graphic Design or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in graphic design or multimedia design. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite , including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Knowledge of photography and videography, including basic photo and video editing, would be an advantage. Creative, organised and able to work independently while managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines. Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook). Able to work on weekends and public holidays during major temple events and ceremonies based on operational requirements. Comfortable working in a Buddhist temple environment and supporting temple activities. Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese, as the role prepares publicity materials and communicates regularly with English- and Chinese-speaking devotees, volunteers, vendors and stakeholders. Ability to type Chinese characters using Chinese input methods (e.g. Hanyu Pinyin) to prepare publicity materials and communications in Chinese. Experience with website content management systems, social media content creation or Adobe Premiere Pro / After Effects would be an advantage.
