About this role

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive Marine Project Engineer to support engineering coordination and project execution activities across shipbuilding, vessel conversion, and repair projects. This role will work closely with clients, classification societies, designers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule and in compliance with project requirements. The ideal candidate should possess strong project coordination skills, experience managing engineering documentation, and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders within a marine or offshore environment. Key Responsibilities Project & Engineering Coordination Coordinate engineering activities for vessel new build, conversion, and repair projects Review project specifications, technical requirements, and contractual obligations to ensure compliance Support project execution by liaising with clients, classification societies, designers, vendors, and internal teams Monitor engineering deliverables and ensure project milestones are achieved according to schedule Participate in technical meetings and project discussions in Singapore, Batam, or other locations when required Technical Documentation Management Develop and maintain drawing registers, engineering schedules, and document tracking records Coordinate drawing submissions and monitor approval progress with clients and classification societies Track technical comments and ensure timely closure of review items Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, classification requirements, and maritime regulations Monitor vendor documentation and technical submissions to ensure project compliance Stakeholder & Communication Management Act as the key point of contact between clients, designers, classification societies, vendors, and project teams Manage engineering correspondence and facilitate the flow of technical information throughout the project lifecycle Prepare meeting minutes, technical clarifications, and formal engineering responses Follow up on outstanding technical matters and drive timely resolution Documentation & Compliance Work closely with document controllers to maintain proper document filing and revision control Ensure project documents, drawings, specifications, and correspondence are accurately maintained Support compliance with contractual requirements, classification standards, and maritime regulations Requirements Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline Minimum 2-3 years of experience in project engineering or engineering coordination role within the marine, offshore, shipbuilding, or ship repair industry Familiarity with vessel construction, conversion, repair, or offshore projects Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, classification requirements, and maritime regulations Experience managing engineering documentation, correspondence, and project schedules Strong communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills Good analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Willingness to travel to Batam or overseas locations when required Please send your detailed resume in MS Word format to resume@goldtecHRs.com with Education Level Working experiences Each employment background Reason for leaving each employment Last drawn salary Expected salary Date of availability
