Job description Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges. As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support. Additional job description We are APAC's Central Intelligence and Analytics (CIA) team, a part of Business Finance. We are a critical cog in the Finance machinery that runs the APAC Ads Business, ensuring that processes run smoothly while bringing critical analyses, insights and opportunities to the business. Business Finance is part of Google’s Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization, providing financial and analytical support to Google’s business organization. Our work is integral to the strategic decision-making and operations of the commercial teams across all our advertising products. From understanding market and usage trends to exploring the productivity and return of our various investments, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the commercial leaders. Qualifications Job responsibilities Act as a strategic partner to APAC business and sales leadership, collaborating cross-functionally to drive annual planning, track strategic initiatives, verify scorecards, create dashboards and provide deep-dive financial impact analyses. Lead APAC quota development and modeling to define quarterly and annual sales quotas, partner with global stakeholders on compensation design, and manage Operational Expenditure (OpEx), sales bonuses, and policy exceptions. Own and manage standard business reporting, including compiling weekly revenue reviews, the APAC Fact Pack, and synthesized variance analysis to prepare APAC leadership for executive earnings meetings. Conduct external peer benchmarking and build technical solutions, including Google3 data pipelines, optimized SQL queries, and interactive BI dashboards to supercharge regional analytical and reporting capabilities. Lead AI experimentation to design and deploy automated agents, streamlining manual finance workflows, updating database tables, and conducting complex analyses. Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. 4 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), business analyst, data analyst, or a related function, or an advanced degree. Experience with Spreadsheets, SQL and working with data. Preferred qualifications Experience with building dashboards, Business Intelligence solution development, and establishing data pipelines. Knowledge of R and Python. Ability to work with data to produce analysis, influencing decision making with numerical analysis and generating insights. Ability to take initiatives, navigate ambiguity and work in an unstructured environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to craft and deliver a message with credibility to influence senior leadership.
