Avp, Finance Operations - Life Insurance (Contract)

A well-established life insurer is looking for an AVP, Finance Operations (Contract) to own month-end close, balance sheet substantiation, and the finance-IT interface for its distribution, health, and fixed asset lines. You'll be the finance SME bridging Business Analysts, IT, and Operations on system change, Day 2 requests, and process automation. What you'll do Monthly book close aligned to group and local regulatory timelines Balance sheet substantiation & reconciliation - driving down aging and resolving breaks Finance's seat at the table for interface exceptions between policy admin systems and GL Scoping and delivering IT-driven finance projects, from milestone planning to execution Commission & distribution accounting, partnering closely with Distribution Support and Performance Management EUC controls and ongoing control enhancement What you bring 4–5 years in finance operations, ideally within life insurance Track record leading finance transformation or IT-enabled control improvement projects Life insurance commission & distribution cost booking experience is a strong plus Comfort working across GL and policy admin systems; exposure to Alteryx, Power Builder, or AI-driven process tools is an advantage Degree in accounting and finance If you've got the technical accounting depth and the project delivery instincts to sit between Finance and IT, apply now.
