About this role

The Production Planner is responsible for developing,coordinating, and maintaining an achievable production plan for blending andfilling operations. This role ensures optimal utilisation of plant resources,timely order fulfilment, and alignment between demand, inventory, andoperational constraints. Production Planning & Scheduling 1. Develop weekly production schedules for blending and filling operations 2. Sequence production orders considering: - Tank availability and constraints - Line capacity and pack size - Changeover optimisation (minimise contamination and downtime) 3. Adjust plans dynamically based on: - Urgent orders - Equipment breakdown - Material shortages Order Fulfilment & Prioritisation 1. Translate sales orders into executable production plans 2. Prioritise orders based on: - Delivery deadlines - Customer criticality - Track order progress and highlight risks early SAP / System Management 1. Create and manage: - Process Orders / Job Orders - Reservations and material staging 2. Ensure accuracy of: - BOM usage - Batch tracking - Production confirmations 3. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system vs physical stock Cross-Functional Coordination 1. Liaise with: - Sales / Customer Service (order changes) - Procurement (material delays) - Operations (execution constraints) - Quality (QC status) 2. Act as the central coordinator for production priorities Performance Monitoring 1. Track and report: - Plan adherence (%) - Lead Time adherence - Equipment utilisation - Schedule changes / disruptions 2. Identify bottlenecks and propose improvements Continuous Improvement 1. Improve planning efficiency through: - Better sequencing logic - Reduction of changeover time - Improved forecast accuracy feedback 2. Support digitalisation / automation initiatives (e.g., scheduling tools, SAP optimisation) Requirements Education - Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management or related field Experience - 3–5 years in production planning / scheduling preferably in Lubricants / chemicals / process industry - Experience working with SAP system is highly preferred Skills & Competencies 1. Strong understanding of: - Blending and filling operations - Tank and line constraints 2. High attention to detail and data accuracy 3. Strong coordination and communication skills 4. Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities 5. Proficient in Excel (planning tools, basic analysis)
