Roles & Responsibilities Technical Assist Fleet Manager on technical requirements and follow up on technical matter as instructed by the management Stand-in for Fleet Manager on technical matters when he is not around In charge of updating records of the vessel in the system Expected to carry out regular ship visits as per the company requirement and update vessel status consistently Crew Management Brief crew on organizational policies, documentation and procedures. In charge of the appraisals of crew members, together with the operation team Responsible for the compliance and application for crew manning and other administration purposes Ensure welfare of the crew and be the contact point between the crews/vessels and the management Requirements Proactive attitude for identifying issues and managing problems before it gets out of hand Team player that creates synergy with colleagues Independent when allocate task and takes ownership for the assigned responsibility Meticulous in his approach to work and details, especially when managing crews Preferred Experience 1 years prior experience in equivalent or similar role COC class 1 or 2 qualification or sailing experience with engine handling exposure an advantage
