Because for this vital role, we’re looking for someone who can: • Assist the Chief Engineer to oversees the engineering/maintenance operations of the hotel. • Be responsible to ensure that all the engineering and maintenance activities of the hotel are conducted to the highest professional standards at all times, with guest comfort and safety being the highest priority. • Assist the Chief Engineer in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans. • Assist the Chief Engineer to develop preventive maintenance programs to ensure the facility is maintained and in service for our guests (example: lighting, refrigeration, heating, air-conditioning, water treatment systems, and pools) • Assist the Chief Engineer to coordinate projects with general contractor and sub-contractor, and ensure quality work is performed cost-effectively • Assist Chief Engineer to develop, implement and manage energy conservation programs for the property to minimise expenses • Educate and train all engineering colleagues in compliance with governmental and safety regulations • Ensure the team is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments • Communicate with all hotel department heads to stay informed of maintenance needs and ensure timely responses to requests.
