Job Summary We are seeking a visionary Senior Interior Designer / Workplace Strategist who sits at the intersection of human behavior, spatial efficiency, and technical execution. You will design high-performing corporate workplaces, R&D laboratories, and cleanroom facilities while partnering with clients to redefine how their teams work, collaborate, and operate. You will lead projects from workplace strategy workshops, occupancy analysis, and concept planning through technical documentation, coordination, and final site handover. Responsibilities Lead stakeholder workshops, interviews, and surveys with client leadership to understand business goals, culture, workstyles, operational needs, and future growth Conduct utilization studies, space budgeting, occupancy analysis, and test-fit planning to develop comprehensive workplace strategy briefs Plan laboratories and controlled environments considering pressure regimes, gowning areas, equipment layouts, chemical storage, material movement, contamination control, workflow, safety, and technical adjacencies Translate complex strategic and technical briefs into efficient zoning plans, schematic layouts, mood boards, material palettes, FF&E concepts, and brand-aligned design solutions Prepare compelling design presentations, 3D visuals, walkthroughs, and real-time renderings using Enscape and related design tools to communicate design intent clearly Produce and oversee detailed drawing packages including construction drawings, detailed joinery, reflected ceiling plans, lighting layouts, finish schedules, specifications, and furniture plans Coordinate with MEP, HVAC, acoustic, structural, architectural, specialist laboratory, cleanroom, contractor, and vendor teams to ensure design feasibility and technical alignment Conduct site visits, review shop drawings, resolve design and construction issues, and ensure completed works reflect approved design intent Mentor junior designers and drafters, uphold drafting standards, guide design quality, and support timely project delivery across multiple workstreams Balance budgets, timelines, technical requirements, and client expectations through strong leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, and project coordination Required competencies and certifications Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related discipline Minimum 6 years of relevant interior design experience with a strong portfolio in commercial office fit-outs, workplace environments, or high-performance corporate projects Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for design and documentation Knowledge of Enscape software for producing real-time 3D visualizations, walkthroughs, renderings, and client presentations Ability to interpret data from workplace surveys, stakeholder interviews, utilization studies, and occupancy analysis to translate insights into practical design strategies Deep knowledge of construction details, materials, FF&E, finishes, local building codes, safety requirements, and coordination with technical engineering services Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills to confidently pitch design concepts and strategic recommendations to senior client stakeholders Preferred competencies and qualifications Exposure to laboratory and cleanroom design including wet labs, dry labs, R&D facilities, controlled environments, pressure-controlled spaces, gowning sequences, chemical storage, or equipment-intensive planning Knowledge of workplace strategy methodologies, agile work environments, hybrid working models, spatial ergonomics, wellness considerations, and user-focused planning Experience with SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other presentation tools Knowledge of furniture systems, finishes, materials, ergonomic planning, and workplace design trends Ability to develop persuasive visual narratives, design pitches, project proposals, and client-facing presentation materials Strong design sensibility balancing creative thinking, technical precision, operational practicality, and buildability Experience working on science and technology, healthcare, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing, or research facility projects Familiarity with cleanroom principle…
