KYC Analyst (Up to $6,000) | Commodities

Your new company A global commodities firm is looking for a KYC Analyst to join their Singapore office. Your new role This role offers strong visibility across the business and the rare opportunity to help shape and establish KYC and onboarding frameworks within a fast-growing, entrepreneurial trading environment. * Conduct end-to-end KYC and client onboarding reviews for counterparties, suppliers, customers, and financial institutions across global markets * Perform customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), sanctions screening, adverse media checks, and ongoing monitoring activities * Review and assess complex ownership structures, UBOs, and high-risk entities across various jurisdictions * Ensure onboarding documentation complies with internal AML/KYC policies and regulatory requirements * Liaise closely with traders, legal, finance, operations, and external counterparties to facilitate smooth onboarding processes * Support periodic reviews and remediation exercises for existing counterparties * Escalate potential compliance or reputational risks to senior compliance stakeholders where appropriate * Assist in enhancing KYC processes, controls, and operational efficiencies as the business continues to scale * Stay updated on evolving AML, sanctions, and regulatory developments relevant to the commodities trading industry What you'll need to succeed * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, Economics, or related disciplines * 2–3 years of relevant KYC / AML / onboarding experience within commodities trading firms, banks, or financial institutions * Prior exposure to commodities, energy, metals, shipping, or trade finance environments will be highly advantageous * Strong understanding of AML regulations, sanctions screening, and counterparty due diligence processes * Comfortable operating within a fast-paced and evolving environment with the ability to manage ambiguity * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills * Hands-on, adaptable, and excited by the opportunity to be part of a growing platform What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, please send a copy of your updated CV to kelly.wee@hays.com.sg for a confidential chat.
