Legal Counsel (Construction Industry, North Region)

Responsibilities: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, vendor, and construction contracts. Conduct legal due diligence and assess contractual risks. Advise project teams on contract issues, claims, delays, and variations. Handle disputes, litigation, and arbitration matters. Provide guidance on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Monitor regulatory changes and advise on business impact. Develop and implement compliance policies and training programs. Liaise with external counsel and regulatory authorities. Requirements: Bachelor of Law from a recognised university. Minimum 5 years’ relevant corporate/commercial law experience, preferably in-house. Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. Experience in litigation and dispute resolution, particularly construction-related. Familiarity with construction contracts and associated agreements.
