Store Manager (Hardware)

Manage the day-to-day operations of the hardware store branch. Lead, supervise, and motivate the store team to deliver excellent customer service. Achieve monthly sales targets and improve overall store performance. Ensure shelves are well-stocked, organised, and attractively displayed. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock ordering and replenishment. Conduct regular stock checks and minimise inventory discrepancies. Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and after-sales service professionally. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operational reports. Manage staff scheduling, attendance, training, and performance evaluations. Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment. Work closely with management to implement promotions and improve business performance. Job experience preferably in a hardware, building materials, home improvement, or related retail environment. Proven experience in supervising and leading a small retail team. Strong knowledge of inventory control and retail operations. Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Customer-focused with a positive and proactive attitude. Able to work independently and make sound operational decisions. Proficient in basic computer applications and point-of-sale (POS) systems. Willing to work weekends and public holidays when required.
