Science Laboratory Assistant

🏫 Client: Yishun Town Secondary School 📍 Location: 6 Yishun Street 21, Singapore 768610 💼 Employment Type: Full-Time (Contract) 📅 Contract Period: 1 August 2026 – 31 December 2028 🕒 Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Inclusive of 1-hour lunch break) Note: No work on Saturdays, Sundays, Singapore Public Holidays, and during the entire months of June and December each year (school holidays). 🔬 Key Responsibilities 🧪 Prepare laboratories for daily practical lessons and practical examinations. ⚗️ Dispense chemicals and prepare laboratory reagents. 🧫 Set up laboratory apparatus, glassware, chemicals, safety goggles, and other teaching materials. 🧹 Collect, clean, and store laboratory equipment after practical sessions. ♻️ Safely dispose of laboratory chemicals according to safety procedures. 🚰 Wash and maintain laboratory glassware and equipment. 📦 Replenish bench reagents before the start of each school term. 📝 Support inventory arrangement and laboratory organization. 🤝 Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Science Laboratory Technician. ✅ Requirements 🎓 Education Primary school qualification or equivalent. 🧪 Knowledge Basic knowledge of science laboratory operations. Basic knowledge of chemical preparation and handling. 💼 Experience Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in a science laboratory.
