Associate Director – Reinsurance Placement (Facultative & Facilities)

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced reinsurance professional to join our Singapore office as an Associate Director, focusing on facultative and facility placements. This role sits at the core of our placement and execution capabilities, partnering closely with client-facing brokers, regional teams, and global markets to ensure efficient, high-quality placement outcomes across Asia. Key Responsibilities 1. Placement Execution & Delivery Lead and oversee end-to-end placement of facultative risks and facility business across multiple lines (Property, Casualty, Specialty as relevant) Structure and place complex risks into Asian and international reinsurance markets Ensure optimal market selection, pricing negotiation, and capacity sourcing Drive consistency and discipline in placement strategy and execution 2. Facility Development & Management Support the design, structuring, and ongoing management of facilities Collaborate with regional and global teams to expand facility offerings and insurer participation Monitor facility performance, utilisation, and profitability metrics Ensure documentation, wording, and governance standards are maintained 3. Technical & Analytical Leadership Provide technical guidance on risk assessment, underwriting information, and submission quality Review slip preparation, contract wordings, and placement documentation Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements Act as a subject matter expert on facultative and facility placement best practices 4. Stakeholder Management (Internal & Market） Partner closely with client-facing brokers to support deal execution Maintain strong relationships with reinsurers across Asia and global markets Coordinate with global placement teams to leverage broader market access and capabilities Act as a key escalation point for complex or challenged placements 5.
