About this role
The Creative Producer (Dance Science & Creative Health) is a hybrid creative and programme leadership role responsible for developing, producing and delivering HOWONE’s Creative Health initiatives. Working closely with the Artistic Director, the role combines expertise in choreography, dance science, movement education and creative production to transform artistic ideas into impactful programmes that enhance wellbeing, participation and community connection. The role holder will contribute as a choreographer, movement practitioner and producer — designing evidence-informed dance experiences, developing creative health methodologies, facilitating programmes, and ensuring effective delivery across communities and performance contexts. 1. Creative Practice & Choreography Create and choreograph dance works, participatory performances and movement experiences aligned with HOWONE’s artistic vision. Collaborate with the Artistic Director and creative collaborators to develop movement concepts, artistic content and performance outcomes. Translate research, embodied practice and community experiences into meaningful choreographic works. Adapt choreographic approaches for different populations, including seniors, children and participants with diverse physical abilities. 2. Dance Science & Creative Health Practice Develop and deliver evidence-informed movement programmes integrating dance science, anatomy, biomechanics, conditioning and wellbeing principles. Design creative health curricula that support physical function, confidence, connection and quality of life. Apply principles of safe and inclusive movement practice across different communities and abilities. Conduct movement assessments, gather participant feedback and refine methodologies to strengthen programme outcomes. Stay informed of developments in dance science, health research and community wellbeing practices. 3. Creative Production & Programme Development Produce and manage Creative Health projects from concept development through implementation, evaluation and reporting. Coordinate project timelines, budgets, resources, partners and stakeholders. Support funding proposals, partnership development and strategic growth opportunities. Manage programme documentation, impact measurement and reporting. Ensure projects are delivered with artistic quality, operational excellence and meaningful community impact. Requirements Degree in dance, performing arts, movement science, exercise science, health sciences or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualification or advanced training in dance science, movement science or a related field is highly preferred. Minimum 6 years of professional experience combining choreography, dance practice, teaching, creative production or community-based arts practice. Demonstrated choreographic ability and experience creating movement works for different contexts and communities. Strong knowledge of dance science principles, including anatomy, biomechanics, conditioning and safe movement practices. Experience developing and facilitating dance, movement or creative health programmes for diverse populations. Relevant wellness or fitness certification (e.g. Pilates, yoga, personal training or equivalent). Experience in curriculum development and arts education. Strong project management, communication and partnership-building skills. Ability to work collaboratively within an artistic leadership structure. Ability to communicate and teach in Chinese or Malay is preferred. Additional dialect proficiency will be advantageous.
