Principal Hardware Architect (Electrical Engineering)

HP is seeking a Principal Hardware Architect to lead the architecture and technical direction of critical Office Printing Systems subsystems. This role requires a highly experienced electrical engineer who can drive system-level design decisions, influence product strategy, and mentor engineering teams across a global organization. Key Responsibilities Own the architecture of key product subsystems, translating business and product requirements into scalable, cost-effective hardware solutions. Drive critical design decisions, including component selection, trade-off analyses, and cost optimization. Lead cross-functional collaboration with ASIC, firmware, mechanical, systems, and manufacturing teams across HP and partner organizations. Partner with Canon engineering teams on system architecture, power design, and platform integration. Provide technical leadership in system integration, EMC design, validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. Influence product roadmaps and technical strategy through deep system and business knowledge. Mentor engineers and develop future technical leaders across the organization. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required. 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, hardware development, or system architecture. Proven experience leading the development of complex hardware systems from concept through production. Strong background in system architecture, board design, power systems, EMC, and product integration. Demonstrated leadership and mentorship experience. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across organizations. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Experience working with global engineering teams and external development partners. Experience in laser printing, embedded systems, computing, or electromechanical products.
