About this role

Provide patients a positive experience while they are being treated at our dental clinic and support the running of the practice. Duties and Responsibilities Telephone/Email Coverage Answering calls and responding to inquiries. Reminder calls for appointment confirmation and rescheduling appointments. Reply to patient’s inquiries through email. Registration Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduler with a high rate of accuracy. Registers patients by verifying that patient's record is up to date and accurate. Check patients’ medical history and drug allergies. Check for insurance coverage and intention to use insurance or government subsidies such as CHAS. Collection Collects payment from patients, applies payments to patient accounts in the computer system, and reconciles daily cash reports. Clinic Administration Locating patient files and cases. Prepare PowerPoint for doctor counseling. Process claims with insurance companies and government agencies e.g. CHAS, Medisave. Liaising with dental labs for sending and receiving of cases. Recording lab charges and deducting from dentist takings. Financial and Product Counseling Educate and teach patient on correct use of braces and Invisalign. Other adhoc duties
