Application Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Application Development Manager to lead the planning, development and continuous enhancement of the Company's application systems and software products. The successful candidate will oversee software development initiatives, drive application architecture improvements, establish development standards and lead the application development team in delivering reliable and scalable business solutions. Job Responsibilities: Lead the planning, development and continuous enhancement of the Company's application systems and software products. Manage the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, implementation, deployment and post-implementation support. Lead and manage the application development team to ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines, quality standards and business objectives. Review, optimise and continuously improve application architecture to enhance system performance, scalability, reliability and maintainability. Establish and implement software development standards, coding guidelines, API standards and database design standards. Work closely with business stakeholders to analyse operational requirements and develop effective software solutions. Oversee software enhancement projects, application optimisation and technology improvement initiatives. Review technical solutions, application architecture and software quality to ensure compliance with development standards. Provide technical consultation and recommendations for software implementation, application enhancement and technology planning. Research emerging technologies and recommend suitable solutions to improve application capabilities and support business growth. Develop reusable software components, technical documentation and development best practices to improve productivity and maintainability. Manage project schedules, technical resources, project risks and external technology vendors to ensure successful project delivery. Mentor and develop application development team members through technical guidance and knowledge sharing. Prepare project reports, technology roadmaps and development updates for Management. Perform any other duties assigned by Management. Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline. Candidates with extensive experience in software application development, software architecture and technology management are encouraged to apply. At least 8 years of relevant experience in software application development, software product development or technology management, with 5 years in a managerial or technical leadership role. Proven experience managing the complete software development lifecycle from requirements analysis through implementation and continuous enhancement. Strong knowledge of software architecture, application design, system integration, API standards and database design. Experience leading software development teams and managing application development projects. Experience establishing software development standards, technical governance and software quality practices. Strong leadership, project management, analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Experience in AI-enabled software solutions, intelligent applications or enterprise software development will be an advantage.
