Social Media & Marketing Assistant (Part-Time, Hybrid)

About Us IONX Labs is a boutique O-Level Chemistry and Biology tuition centre in Balestier. We keep our classes small and our teaching sharp, and our students' results speak for themselves. Social media is where most parents and students discover us for the first time. A single good Reel can fill a class. That is why this role matters. The Role This role is well suited for students currently pursuing tertiary studies (Marketing, Mass Communication, Media or related fields especially welcome). Time commitment: 10 to 15 hours per week, made up of one fixed shoot session every Monday, a short daily check on comments and DMs from your phone, and the rest fully flexible for editing and scheduling. Minimum 6 months commitment preferred. We are looking for a creative, platform-native Social Media & Marketing Assistant to run our Instagram and TikTok and support light admin. You will be the hands-on engine of our online presence: our tutors brings the teaching and the raw content, you bring the ideas, editing, and consistency. We are a team that embraces AI. We want someone who uses AI tools to create faster and think bigger, from ideation through to editing. This is a great role for a poly or uni student, fresh graduate, or freelancer who wants real ownership of a brand's channels and a strong portfolio piece, with flexible hours that fit around school or other commitments. What You Will Do Run one content shoot session every Monday afternoon, at our Balestier centre: batch-film the week's Reels and B-roll with our tutor Prepare a simple shot list before each Monday shoot (topics and formats for the week's content) Edit, schedule and publish 3 to 4 posts per week across Instagram and TikTok (Reels, Stories, carousels), turning our teaching moments into scroll-stopping content Reply to comments and DMs within 24 hours, including a brief weekend check from your phone, keeping our tone warm and professional Send fee reminders and lesson confirmation messages to parents on schedule Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Canva AI, CapCut and similar) to draft captions, generate ideas, and work efficiently Track reach, engagement and follower growth, and share a simple weekly summary every Sunday Bring fresh, on-trend ideas, especially formats that work for the Singapore student and parent audience What You Will Bring Essential: A portfolio, showreel, or links to 2 to 3 accounts or posts you have personally created or managed. Applications without work samples will not be reviewed Strong hands-on skills with Instagram and TikTok, including shooting and editing short-form video with a phone Proficiency with Canva and CapCut or similar tools Strong written English with a clear, friendly tone Organised, responsive, and able to work independently Based in Singapore and available on Monday early afternoons for the weekly shoot at Balestier Advantageous: Diploma or degree (current or completed) in Marketing, Mass Communication, Media, or a related field Experience creating content for education, tuition, or student-facing brands Familiarity with the Singapore O-Level or tuition scene Basic design ability (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Figma) What We Offer SGD 700 to 1,100 per month, depending on experience and portfolio (works out to SGD 15 to 18 per hour at 10 to 15 hours per week) One fixed session a week, everything else on your own schedule Real ownership: your content is the brand, not one voice among fifty Direct mentorship from a founder, and practical insight into running an education business A strong, measurable portfolio piece for your future career advancement 6-month engagement preferred, with extension and expanded scope if it works out How to Apply Send the following: Your CV or a short intro about yourself Links to 2 to 3 pieces of content or accounts you have personally worked on, with a line on what you were responsible for Your availability, and confirm you can make Mondays afternoons Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
