Statement Of Purpose (Overall Purpose of Job) In the landscape industry, a Project Manager (PM) plays a pivotal role in overseeing the comprehensive management of landscape operations. This position is essential for ensuring the development of people, projects & processes that not only meet but exceed industry standards, enhancing both client satisfaction and company reputation. Major Duties & Responsibilities (A) Specific : KPIs: Focus and implement effective strategies, drive project success and contribute significantly to the organisation’s overall performance. Tender (Bidding) & Planning methodology: Lead the tendering process by developing strategic planning methodologies that optimize resource allocation and project timelines, ensuring competitiveness and profitability. Scope & Time Management: Organize and coordinate complex landscape projects, managing scope creep through effective change control processes. Develop detailed project timelines, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure the timely completion of milestones. Team Management: Supervise, coach, and mentor landscape project and maintenance teams. Foster a collaborative environment by providing training and support, ensuring that all team members are equipped to perform at their best. Quality Management: Implement rigorous quality assurance processes, conducting regular inspections and quality checks to guarantee compliance with industry standards and client expectations. Address any quality issues proactively to maintain project integrity. Inventory and Supply Management: Oversee inventory levels of landscaping materials, plants, and equipment. Establish robust relationships with suppliers to ensure timely availability and negotiate favorable terms to control costs. Contracts & cost Management/Claims: Prepare and monitor project budgets, tracking operational expenses meticulously. Identify opportunities for cost savings through value engineering while maintaining quality. Prepare completion photo reports and ensure adherence to schedules using cost-effective methods. Communication Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly. Ensure that all communications are clear, accurate, and directed to the appropriate stakeholders to facilitate project success (B) General : Procurement of Sub-contractors/Suppliers: Ensure compliance with established Procedures and Quality Management Plans. Manage OSH Management Plans and coordinate the procurement of necessary permits from relevant authorities. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including current drawings and technical coordination. Implement an organized filing system for easy access and reference. Training and Development: Supervise all construction activities and ensure high standard of workmanship and efficiency. Give directions to all workers, assign work and resources. Ensures record of non-conformances and actions taken. Human Resources Management: Optimize labor, machinery, and material use, providing regular reports on personnel, costs, and safety to your superiors. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement among team members. Other duties as assigned: Adapt to the dynamic needs of the organization, taking on additional responsibilities as required to support overall project and company goals (C) Safety : Follow the safety procedures, rules and regulations and eliminate or reduce hazard at the work place. Job Requirements (A) Education, Qualifications & Special Training : Degree or Diploma in Landscape Architectural /Design/Project Management. Job holder without the above qualification but with relevant experience would be considered. (B) Knowledge & Skills : Knowledge & experience with horticulture & Arboriculture work. Project Management/ Plan in detail /encourage people to perform. Good interpersonal / Communication & writing skills. Independent & Team player. Proactive and able to take initiative. Influence people to achieve/strive for effectiveness/ encourage change. Facilitate decisions/ align people. PC literate and knowledgeable in MS Office/CAD/ PowerPoint/Photoshop/BIM (C) Experience : Preferably with minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
