Position Summary The Director, Business Development is a senior individual contributor responsible for identifying, developing, and advancing strategic growth opportunities across Jet Aviation's current and future business lines in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The role focuses on driving sustainable revenue growth through initiatives such as geographic expansion, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and other complex commercial opportunities that require robust business cases and capital investment. Working closely with senior leadership and Line of Business leaders, the Director ensures that business development initiatives align with Jet Aviation's long-term strategic priorities and financial objectives. The role requires strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, financial analysis, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills to evaluate opportunities and support informed business decisions. Key Responsibilities Identify, evaluate, and advance high-impact revenue growth opportunities across Jet Aviation's APAC business lines, including MRO, Aircraft Management, Charter, and FBO services. Lead the evaluation and development of strategic initiatives, including market expansion, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and other complex commercial opportunities. Develop robust business cases, including financial analysis, capital investment assessments, and risk evaluations to support strategic decision-making. Collaborate with senior leadership and Line of Business teams to ensure business development initiatives align with the company's strategic direction and financial objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, business partners, industry stakeholders, and internal teams to support long-term business growth. Lead or support negotiations with external stakeholders to achieve commercially sound and mutually beneficial outcomes. Partner closely with Sales teams to pursue strategic revenue opportunities that require complex commercial evaluation while maintaining independent ownership of business development activities. Establish and maintain effective business development processes, governance, reporting, and performance metrics to support pipeline visibility and execution. Monitor market trends, competitive developments, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic recommendations. Represent Jet Aviation at industry events, conferences, and meetings with customers, partners, and other external stakeholders. Provide strategic advice to the Vice President, Sales & Business Development and senior leadership on opportunity prioritisation, investment decisions, commercial strategy, and risk management. Prepare and present business cases, strategic recommendations, and progress reports to senior management. Identify, assess, and support the mitigation of strategic, financial, operational, and commercial risks while ensuring compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and company requirements. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification (such as an MBA) is advantageous. Demonstrated experience in business development, corporate strategy, commercial development, investment evaluation, management consulting, corporate finance, or related fields, including involvement in complex commercial transactions, M&A, strategic partnerships, or capital investment initiatives. Proven track record of contributing to business growth and managing complex strategic initiatives within a multinational, regional, or matrix organisation. Strong financial analysis and business case development capabilities, including financial modelling, investment appraisal, and commercial evaluation. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple strategic projects and priorities in a dynamic environment. Strong commercial, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships and influence stakeholders across functions and organisational levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly to senior stakeholders. Professional proficiency in English is required to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across the APAC region.
