About this role
Responsibilities • Plan, configure, and administer Microsoft Fabric workspaces, capacities, and platform components • Manage OneLake, Lakehouse, and data warehouse environments including access and security • Administer Azure Key Vault, secrets, managed identities, and related Azure security components • Evaluate and apply platform updates, patches, and feature rollouts • Implement monitoring and alerting for Fabric pipelines, capacities, and jobs • Perform system health checks, capacity management, and cost optimisation • Manage Fabric security including workspace roles, sensitivity labels, and data governance • Coordinate backup and recovery strategies for data platform assets • Conduct performance monitoring and tuning of Fabric workloads Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. • Minimum 3 years of experience administering Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouses, Warehouses, Data Pipelines, Notebooks, and Real-Time Intelligence. • Experience administering Azure Key Vault for secrets and credential management. • Solid understanding of Microsoft Entra ID and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for securing Microsoft Fabric environments. • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting data lakehouse architectures using Delta Lake and OneLake. • Hands-on experience managing Power BI Premium and Microsoft Fabric capacities, including capacity planning, monitoring, and performance optimization. • Experience configuring and maintaining Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and alerting for platform monitoring and operational support. • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL for data platform administration, automation, and troubleshooting. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
