Stall Assistant （Chee Cheong Fun And Traditional Kueh）

Work Hours: 7:30am – 5:30pm Shop Opening: 8:00am – 5:00pm Core Responsibilities Food Preparation & Production Prepare and steam Teochew-style Chee Cheong Fun (batter mixing, steaming, scraping, folding, saucing). Assist in the making, portioning, steaming, and packaging of traditional kueh (e.g., png kueh, soon kueh, ang ku kueh). Ensure consistency in texture, taste, and presentation across all items. Station Management Set up Chee Cheong Fun and kueh stations before opening. Maintain mise-en-place: batter, sauces, fillings, toppings, garnishes. Monitor stock levels and refill ingredients throughout the shift. Close stations properly, including cleaning steamers, tools, and counters. Customer Service Greet customers and take orders accurately. Provide product recommendations and explain traditional items when needed. Handle customer feedback professionally and escalate issues when required. Cashiering & POS Handling Operate POS system for dine-in and takeaway orders. Manage cash and digital payments accurately. Quality & Hygiene Follow SFA food hygiene guidelines and internal SOPs. Ensure proper storage of batter, fillings, cooked kueh, and sauces. Maintain personal grooming and hygiene standards. Skills & Competencies Able to prepare smooth, consistent Teochew Chee Cheong Fun with correct thickness and folding technique. Basic knowledge of kueh production (steaming, shaping, portioning, packaging). Strong customer service and communication skills. Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced F&B environment. Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. Operational Duties Daily opening and closing of Chee Cheong Fun and kueh stations. Refill sauces, toppings, condiments, and ingredients throughout the shift. Assist in receiving and storing deliveries. Conduct simple stock counts and report low inventory. Support team members across stations when required. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining area. Physical Requirements Able to stand for long hours. Comfortable working with steamers and hot equipment. Able to lift items up to 10–15kg (batter containers, trays, steamers). Additional Expectations Punctuality and reliability. Teamwork and willingness to learn traditional preparation methods. Flexibility to rotate between Chee Cheong Fun and kueh stations depending on manpower needs
