A Day in the Life: 1. UI Design & 2D Asset Creation (≈60%) Design high-fidelity screens, UI components, iconography, and animations for apps, kiosks, web, and interactive installations. Develop and maintain a cohesive visual style across all digital touchpoints (typography, color, layout systems). Create prototypes in Figma or similar tools to validate layouts, transitions, and microinteractions. Use motion and animation to convey feedback, transitions, and interaction cues. Collaborate with developers to hand off assets, design specs, and style guides for implementation 2. Concept & UX Development (≈25%) Define UX frameworks, user flows, and interaction models. Lead or contribute to concept ideation and early-stage design direction. Provide design art direction to guide visual consistency and storytelling. Support stakeholder workshops and idea refinement. 3. Research, Proposals & Collaboration (≈15%) Perform experience design research to support proposals. Contribute to RFP responses with UX rationale, visual mood boards, art styles, and visualizations. Support cross-disciplinary teamwork with creatives, producers, developers, and partners. Assist with documentation, decks, and presentations. What We Are Looking For: Experience : 1–3+ years in UX/UI design, ideally in creative tech, exhibition, or interactive media. Design Tools : Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator/Photoshop), Microsoft Office. Design Skills: Ability to design engaging UI assets, layouts, and animated transitions that communicate clearly and elevate the user experience. Strong foundation in user research, information architecture, wireframing, and usability testing. Qualifications : Recommended for graduates from Visual Communications, Interactive Media, User Experience Design, Digital Media, Communication Design, or related studies. Motion Skills : Experience with animation/motion design to enhance UI interactions. Illustration Skills : Ability to create unique, styled components where needed. Copywriting: Comfortable writing clear, instructional microcopy within interfaces. Interactive Software & AI : Experience with interactive platforms and generative AI workflows is a plus. Tech Understanding : Familiarity with frontend constraints, HTML/CSS basics, and responsive design principles. • Mindset: Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn new tools and trends. Detail-oriented: Strong organizational skills with a high standard of quality and precision. Communication : Exceptional communication and presentation abilities. Problem-solving : Resourceful and comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
