About this role
Taking charge for all cargo operations and assisting the Master in the efficient running of the vessel and being fully responsible for the deck equipment, cordage, painting and cleaning of the vessel. As the Chief Engineer’s deputy, he will take over the functions of the Chief Engineer in case the latter is ill or incapacitated. Assisted the Chief Engineer in carrying out the daily inspection and maintenance of the entire ship’s machinery and equipment, including deck and accommodation machinery.
