Lead operations role on the warehouse floor and logistics ground team. You are the day-to-day person in charge of store men, pickers, drivers, and logistics assistants — making sure goods flow in and out accurately, system records match physical stock, and the team delivers. As LE grows its Industrial and MRO business — including on-site inventory for major international customers — this role is the backbone of operational execution. Key Responsibilities: Daily Management Manage and oversee daily operational activities across warehouse, logistics and delivery. Execute, improve and implement operational processes and best practices. Ensure compliance to MOM BIZSAFE workplace safety requirements and ISO / AS9120 standards at all times. Inbound Receive goods: check items against PO/DO (quantity, description, condition, packaging). QC / inspection: verify correct part numbers, no damage, certificates or COCs where required. Label every item (barcode, part number, description, customer reference) using Zebra printers. System entry in Business Central (BC) on the same day: update stock, bin location, put-away. FIFO / FEFO discipline for shelf-life and expiry items. Warehouse Management Maintain bin accuracy: right items in the right bin, labels matching system, no orphan stock. Daily cycle counts (fast-movers first); investigate and close discrepancies before end of day. Full stock takes (monthly/quarterly); pre-move inventory verification. Housekeeping: aisles clear, racking tidy, dead stock identified and segregated. MHE oversight: pallet jacks, forklifts (if licensed), PPE compliance. Outbound / Picking / Delivery Pick and pack orders from sorted pick lists by bin location. Coordinate deliveries by zone (N/S/E/W); enforce 3pm same-day cutoff. Prepare delivery documentation; track proof-of-delivery. Liaise with drivers on loading, route, and timing. Work with sales team on delivery schedules, self-collections, and urgent orders. Operations Planning & Execution (Operational Level) Plan daily workload: receiving lines, pick/pack queue, deliveries, cycle counts. Run daily management board / morning briefing with warehouse and logistics team. Flag capacity issues, delays, or urgent requests to Operations Manager early. Track delivery trips, manpower utilisation, and overtime; report weekly. Team Supervision Lead and supervise storemen, pickers, drivers, and logistics assistants on the ground. Assign daily tasks, check completion, maintain discipline and punctuality. Train new staff on receiving, picking, labelling, system entry, and safety procedures. Stand in for Operations Manager on routine matters when required. Customer-Site Inventory (Advanced manufacturing) Stationed at customer site when required to manage consignment / VMI stock. Stock take at customer bins using BC mobile app (scan bin → scan item → enter quantity). Receive replenishment from LE warehouse; verify, label, put away into designated bins. Generate replenishment needs based on max inventory per bin per item. Submit weekly reports: on-hand, on-order, delivery dates, stock-outs. Follow customer-site security protocols (visitor clearance, travel declarations, no photography). Compliance & Documentation Support AS9120 / ISO audit readiness: traceability records, inspection checklists, SOPs. Maintain accurate BC data: item master, bin codes, stock movements, POs, SOs. Escalate system issues to Operations Manager and Microsoft Business Central ERP system support promptly. REQUIREMENTS Must Have Min. 3 years’ hands-on warehouse operations experience (receiving, picking, packing, inventory). Experience supervising a small team (store men, drivers, or logistics assistants). Comfortable with ERP / WMS systems; Business Central, SAP, or similar is a strong plus. Can use barcode scanners, mobile warehouse apps, and label printers (or learn fast). Physically fit: standing, lifting, and moving stock for extended periods. Meticulous: zero tolerance for wrong bin placement, unlabeled stock, or unclosed transactions. Forklift license (Class 1 or 3), Class 3 driving license (Manual transmission) Reliable and punctual. Mon–Fri 8:00am–5:30pm; occasional Saturday mornings with notice. Basic English (spoken and written) for documentation and communication. Good to Have Experience in operating reach trucks, order pickers and other MHE Aerospace, MRO, or precision-manufacturing warehouse experience. FIFO/FEFO, lot tracking, shelf-life control knowledge.
