Job Responsibilities Traveling to shipyard/docking area where the vessel is located. Testing the performance of marine engines and electrical systems. Carrying out overhaul/troubleshooting of main engines and generators. Completing service records and repair documents; maintains paper work documentation of work performed in a complete and timely manner including timesheet, service reports, parts returns and other repair related reports deemed necessary. Ensure all repair procedures are carried out according to the service manual instructions. Ensure service jobs are completed efficiently within the standard job hour guidelines. Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times, maintaining good housekeeping To perform in-house and on-site calibration. Requirements Certificates, diploma or equivalent qualification. Proven work experience as a marine mechanic. Ability to work in engine room onboard vessel. Ability to work offshore. Abide by all safety standard and practices while working in the workshop and field/site at all times. Communicate well technically and efficiently to all levels of service staff and customers.
