Job Description & Requirements Job Summary The Carpenter is responsible for carrying out carpentry works to construct, install, repair, and maintain wooden structures and fixtures. The role also includes handling construction materials, ensuring quality workmanship, and complying with workplace safety standards. The employee must be flexible to work beyond normal working hours, including weekends and public holidays, when required by operational needs. Key Responsibilities Construct, install, repair, and maintain wooden structures, fittings, and fixtures. Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately. Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other materials using appropriate hand and power tools. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment as required. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite at all times. Follow all workplace health and safety regulations and company procedures. Work overtime, weekends, public holidays, or shifts when required to meet project schedules. Complete assigned duties successfully during the probation period to qualify for permanent employment. Requirements Proven experience in carpentry or a related construction trade. Ability to use carpentry hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety practices. Physically fit and capable of lifting and handling construction materials. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work after regular hours, including weekends and public holidays, when required. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to quality workmanship.
