Product Development Manager (Insurance)

We are seeking an experienced Product Development Manager to join our insurance client's Product team on a 1 year contract. This role will be responsible for supporting the development, enhancement and implementation of life insurance products across the product lifecycle. Working closely with Distribution, Pricing, Actuarial, Operations, Compliance, Technology and Marketing teams, you will help deliver innovative customer-centric solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance and commercial viability. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate end-to-end product development initiatives for individual life insurance products. Manage product enhancement projects, including benefits, features, customer experience and digital journeys. Collaborate with Actuarial, Underwriting, Operations, Technology and Compliance teams to deliver successful product launches. Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking and customer analysis to identify product opportunities. Prepare business cases, product proposals and management papers for governance approvals. Ensure products comply with MAS regulations and internal governance requirements. Support implementation planning, user acceptance testing (UAT), operational readiness and post-launch reviews. Monitor product performance and recommend enhancements based on customer feedback and business results. Work with Distribution and Marketing teams to support product positioning and launch activities. Manage project timelines and stakeholder communications to ensure timely delivery. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Actuarial Science, Marketing or a related discipline. 5–10 years of experience in product development, product management or proposition management within the life insurance industry. Strong understanding of life insurance products and the product development lifecycle. Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders including Actuarial, Distribution, Operations and Technology. Good knowledge of MAS regulatory requirements relating to life insurance products. Strong project management and stakeholder management skills. Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.
