UI & UX Lead – Asia

Job Purpose: A hands-on UI & UX Lead to build and lead our regional designworkstream within the Business Technology function. This is a builder-leaderrole requiring strong techno-functional capability, someone who canindependently drive initiatives from discovery through delivery; workingdirectly with business stakeholders to define, design, and deliver intuitive,scalable, and user-centric digital experiences. This is a direct, full-time role based in Singapore. This role requires periodic travel to other regional offices. Key Tasks & Duties and Measurements: Own and establish the UI/UX practice across the region, defining vision, standards,and adoption aligned to Business Technology strategy. Drive end-to-end experience design; from wireframes, prototypes, and interaction design to final visual execution. Lead discovery workshops with business stakeholders to understand user journeys, pain points, and experience expectations Define and implement UI/UX frameworks, design systems, and guidelines to ensure consistency, scalability, and quality across all platforms Deliver hands-on front-end development (e.g., HTML/CSS/JS or modern frameworks) to translate designs into functional, high-quality user interfaces Act as SME for user experience and design thinking, embedding best practices across digital initiatives and influencing solution design Ensure seamless integration of UI/UX with technology architecture and platforms, enabling scalable and consistent digital experiences Collaborate with global, international IT and Digital teams, regional teams (PM, BA, Dev,QA), and external partners to drive execution, governance, and adoption of UI/UX standards Establish feedback loops and usability metrics to continuously improve user experience and drive business outcomes. Measurements: Defined and adopted UI/UX framework, design system, and standards across the region % ofapplications/projects aligned to standardised UI/UX guidelines and design system Faster design-to-development cycle time through reusable components and frameworks Positive feedback from business stakeholders on experience design andusability outcomes Requirements: 8 to 10 years of experience in UI/UX design, framework development, and front-end development, with strong hands-on capability to both design and implement scalable, production-grade user interfaces. 2 to 4years of experience in Insurance & Broking domain. Proven experience with modern UI/UX design and front-end stacks, including design systems, component libraries, and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) Strong hands-on expertise in UI/UX tools and front-end development (Figma/AdobeXD/Sketch, HTML, CSS, JavaScript), delivering production-ready interfaces including responsive and mobile-first design, usability, and accessibility(WCAG) Abilityto work directly with business stakeholders, translate ambiguity intoexecutable roadmaps, and independently deliver outcomes. Strong communication, consulting mindset, and ownership mentality. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated the ability to build professional relationships. Good problem-solving skills with an innovative and proactive approach. Independent yet collaborative team contributor. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field required; Professional certifications in UX/UI design (e.g., Google UX Design Certificate or similar) preferred. Relevant certifications in front-end development or modern webframeworks (e.g., React, web development certifications) are an added advantage
