About this role
Main duty is to teach piano practical (e.g read and play from musical scores, rhythm and counting etc.) and music theory to students. Students ranges from children from the age of 4.5 years old to senior citizens. Able to be patient and engage students in learning to play the piano. Able to prepare students for piano and theory exams. Able to prepare students for yearly school recital. Able to work with parents to help students develop their skill in playing the piano and e.g. give feedback to parents on child's progress and suggest to parents on how they can help their child at home. Able to undertake some administrative work e.g. remind students to pay course fees, mark attendance, arrange for make up classes etc. Candidate must possess at least Grade 8 piano and Grade 8 music theory certificates. Required Skill(s): piano practical, music theory, communication skills.
