Key responsibilities · Provide engineering support for mechanicalpress, POE/EOE and related end-making operations to maintain consistent output,product quality and low spoilage. · Work closely with Production, Tool Room, DieMaintenance, Stamping, Electrical and Quality teams to keep production linesoperating safely and reliably. · Plan, lead and improve preventive and predictivemaintenance programmes for presses, tooling and associated productionequipment. · Diagnose and resolve mechanical, tooling,pneumatic, hydraulic, lubrication, feeding and material-handling problems usinga structured troubleshooting approach. · Lead root-cause analysis and follow-up actionsfor breakdowns, production losses, defects, waste and customer-quality issues. · Monitor and improve OEE, equipment reliability,MTBF, MTTR, changeover performance, material usage and maintenance cost. · Support tooling and die-set design reviews,maintenance, regeneration, life monitoring and readiness for new and existingproducts. · Support new-equipment installation andcommissioning, machine upgrades, capital projects and production-lineimprovement projects. · Study processes and operations to recommendbetter use of materials, equipment, manpower and other manufacturing resources. · Prepare and maintain SOPs, work instructions,maintenance plans, troubleshooting guides, technical reports and equipmentrecords. · Coach and train technicians, operators and otherproduction personnel in machine setup, troubleshooting, maintenance and safework practices. · Manage critical spare-parts and toolingrequirements and support procurement planning to reduce unplanned downtime andtotal maintenance cost. · Comply with workplace safety, lockout/tagout,food-safety and quality-management requirements, and contribute to a consistentsafety culture across the facility. · Provide support during planned shutdowns andurgent production breakdowns when operationally required. Requirements · Diploma or Bachelor's degree in MechanicalEngineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline. · At least 5 years of relevant hands-on experiencein high-speed mechanical presses, metal stamping, tool-room maintenance,can/end-making equipment or a comparable manufacturing environment. · Strong knowledge of industrial tooling, die sets,press maintenance and systematic equipment troubleshooting. · Practical experience in preventive or predictivemaintenance, root-cause analysis and production-performance improvement. · Experience with shell presses, conversionpresses, POE/EOE equipment or similar high-speed metal-forming systems isadvantageous. · Experience supporting equipment installation,commissioning, machine upgrades or capital projects is advantageous. · Able to interpret mechanical drawings, equipmentspecifications and process information; experience with AutoCAD, maintenancedatabases, CMMS/ERP or SPC systems is advantageous. · Working knowledge of 5S, lockout/tagout andquality or food-safety systems such as ISO 9001 or FSSC 22000 is advantageous. · Able to write clear SOPs and technical recordsand communicate technical instructions in English, the working language usedfor local safety documentation and cross-functional coordination. · Strong analytical ability, attention to detail,teamwork and the ability to guide technicians and production personnel.
