IT Network Engineer

Job Summary You will design, deploy, and maintain robust LAN/WAN network infrastructures to ensure optimal performance and security. Collaborate with IT teams to integrate systems and support cloud networking environments, driving reliable and scalable network solutions. Responsibilities Design and deploy LAN/WAN network infrastructure to meet organizational connectivity needs Configure and manage routers, switches, and access points to optimize network functionality Monitor network performance continuously and proactively troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect organizational assets Manage VPNs, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and DNS/DHCP services to ensure efficient network operations Perform network upgrades, patches, and firmware updates to maintain system integrity and performance Support cloud networking environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP to enable hybrid network architectures Develop and maintain network backup, disaster recovery, and redundancy plans to ensure business continuity Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network systems and support deployments for seamless operations Maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture and configurations for transparency and troubleshooting Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to resolve network-related issues promptly Required competencies and certifications Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Networking, or related field Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall technologies Hands-on experience with enterprise networking equipment Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools Knowledge of network security best practices Preferred competencies and qualifications Good analytical and problem-solving skills applied to network issue resolution Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders
