Construction Document Controller is responsible for managing, controlling, and maintaining all construction project documentation, including regular updates as required. Documentation includes (but is not limited to) design and construction drawings, shop drawings, authority submission/approval drawings and supporting records (permits, certificates, clearances), CSA and MEP material submittals/approvals, all construction-related transmittal/submittal logs and tracking, and final handover documents such as as-builts, O&M manuals (OMM), warranties, and other required records. The role ensures accuracy, traceability, revision control, and timely availability/distribution of received and approved documents to all project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, in compliance with company standards, contractual requirements, and audit expectations. Responsibilities and Tasks Document Control & Management Establish and maintain the Project Document Management System (DMS) for construction projects. Register, classify, and track all incoming and outgoing construction documents (drawings, specifications, method statements, RFIs, submittals, permits, reports). Ensure documents are correctly numbered, titled, revised, and version‑controlled in accordance with approved naming conventions. Maintain the Master Document Register (MDR) and ensure real‑time accuracy. Review, Approval & Distribution Coordinate document review and approval workflows between Consultants, Contractors, and Micron Internal Stakeholders. Distribute approved documents to relevant parties and ensure obsolete documents are promptly withdrawn . Monitor and follow up on overdue document reviews and approvals. Construction Site Support Support site teams by ensuring latest Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings and documents are readily available. Maintain controlled hardcopy sets if required and manage site document cabinets. Act as the primary interface between site construction teams and corporate document control systems. Revisions & Change Management Track document revisions and changes, ensuring proper authorization and traceability. Ensure revised documents supersede previous versions and communicate changes effectively to stakeholders. Handover & Close‑out Support compilation of as‑built documents , O&M manuals, test reports, and handover dossiers. Ensure final handover documentation is complete, approved, and archived in the designated repository. Compliance & Audits Ensure document control activities comply with company standards, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory requirements. Support internal and external audits by providing accurate, retrievable, and complete document records. Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements. Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Minimum 2–5 years of document control experience in construction or engineering projects. Experience with Document Management Systems (eDMS, SharePoint, Aconex, Procore, or equivalent). Strong understanding of document control processes, workflows, and revision management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to manage large volumes of documentation and meet project deadlines. Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
