Manager (Information Policy & Strategy)

You formulate, integrate, and synchronise information policies and strategies across all domains of Strategic Communications (SC), working closely with MINDEF/SAF departments and public agencies to deepen understanding and safeguard public commitment to defence, build trust and confidence in MINDEF/SAF, enhance our international standing, and maintain support for National Service (NS). - Develop and integrate Strategic Communications policies and strategies - Understand observed trends and provide advice on SC policy and strategy - Analyse trends and provide advice on Strategic Communications policy and strategy - Maintain an up-to-date understanding of public sentiments and align MINDEF/SAF’s narrative and policy approaches to the national-level framework and messages - Drive the operational development of MINDEF/SAF Strategy and Plans Information Hub and plan - Plan, coordinate and conduct information exercises Challenge(s) - Utilising multi-pronged sources of information to make sense of ongoing and rapidly developing changes in the information environment - Developing clear and implementable plans and policies - Education in Communication Studies, Political Science, Social Sciences or a related field - At least 2 years of experience in communications is preferred - Strong command of written and spoken English - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Good understanding of Singapore's media landscape - Knowledge of and keen interest Singapore's media, political, defence and security developments - Good understanding of Singapore’s media landscape - Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team - Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail (Applicants with no experience may apply.)
