Manager (Finance Operations) - Paya Lebar

You will be part of a team responsible for Air Force Training Command's (AFTC) financial management, driving budget exercises to optimise the use of AFTC's budget and overseeing finance operations to ensure the proper and prudent use of public funds. - Oversee the budget plans of AFTC units to ensure proper and adequate use of allocated budget - Work closely with Finance Managers to achieve strong payment performance - Keep abreast of finance policies and ensure transactions are executed properly in the systems - Review finance workflows with the aim of providing a seamless finance experience - Participate in developing dashboards and bots as part of innovation efforts - Provide monthly expenditure analysis to for updating of units' spending and budget utilisation Challenge(s) - Managing multiple stakeholders with competing timelines and different time zones - Developing knowledge across multiple policy domains, as completing a single finance transaction may require understanding policies beyond the finance domain - Education in Business, Accountancy or a related field - Relevant finance work experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirements - Prior experience in financial management, budget planning, or finance operations is advantageous - Independent and able to take initiative to learn and resolve issues - Growth mindset and positive attitude - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as a team player (Applicants with no experience may apply.)
