About this role

You are responsible for the safe, efficient and sustainable planning of ammunition disposal and training ammunition resources. The role develops strategies to achieve zero ammunition wastage and zero training disruption, while managing disposal plans, training ammunition demand, budgets, and local or overseas disposal capabilities, supported by Artificial Intelligence (AI), data analytics and digital tools. - Develop annual and long-term ammunition disposal plans, strategies and initiatives - Plan and manage training ammunition demand, allocation and utilisation, and improve training ammunition management processes for better efficiency and effectiveness - Explore new local and overseas disposal capabilities and technologies - Apply AI, data analytics and digital tools to improve forecasting, dashboards, early warning systems and decision-making - Prepare and manage budgets for disposal, training ammunition support and capability development -Track risks, costs, progress and performance through reports and dashboards Challenge(s) - Balancing safety, readiness, cost and sustainability simultaneously while achieving the established goals, which requires strong forecasting, early intervention and budget discipline - Coordinating across diverse internal and external stakeholders while driving capability development and embedding AI and data analytics into operational decision-making - Education in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Information and Communications Technology or a related field - At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in logistics operations, inventory planning or operational resource management is preferred - Strong accountability and attention to detail - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Continuous improvement mindset (Applicants with no experience may apply.)
