Description of Group – Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG) RPG provides services for the rehabilitation of adult and juvenile offenders and the protection of children and families. Brief description of Job Scope: You will be part of the Corporate Services team, providing financial expertise and advisory support to business units, and oversight across core finance functions, enabling informed decision-making and effective resource allocation for the whole of RPG. Your responsibilities include: • Leading and mentoring the finance team members, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to best practices in financial management. • Overseeing financial planning, budgeting and day-to-day financial operations, including payment processing, revenue collections, tax filings, and any finance-related activities to provide insights and recommendations to senior management. • Ensuring strong internal controls, financial policies and governance frameworks through reviewing and implementing financial policies and procedures, identifying financial risks and developing mitigating strategies. • Coordinating audits (internal and external) and liaising with auditors and regulators. • Collaborating with other divisions to optimise financial processes and support data-driven decision-making. • Leading finance transformation initiatives, automation and digitalisation. Requirements: • Background in Accountancy or Finance, Economics, Business Studies or at least 3 years of experience in related field. • Good command of spoken and written English • Possess strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills • Competent in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel • Adaptable to evolving situations • Resourceful and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. • Familiarity with Government financial management and procurement processes is an advantage Functional Competencies: • Budget Planning & Administration • Financial Operations & Controls • Governance & Risk Management
