Snr / Exec (Governance and Corporate Finance), Finance Division (1-yr contract)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior/Executive (Governance and Corporate Finance), Finance Division on a 1-year contract. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the financial and accounting functions in MTI. • Support MTI-HQ’s daily finance operations, which includes but is not limited to processing of payments, deposit records, and journal transactions, and managing updates to vendor bank and other system records, as well as ensuring internal controls are being adhere to and are in compliance with the government’s regulations and instruction manuals; • Work with both internal and external stakeholders on payment and claims-related queries; • Compile financial returns for submission to central Government agencies; • Design and generate financial reports for use by internal users; • Monitor, analyse, report and present financial metrics to management; • Review financial processes and policies, and identify areas for improvement and automation to strengthen controls and efficiency; • Contribute to Finance Division’s process improvement and transformation efforts. • At least 2 years of working experience in accountancy or a related field - past working experience in the Singapore Public Service would be an advantage; • Committed, responsible and self-driven; • Good communication, analytical thinking and interpersonal skills; • Ability to work independently and effectively as a team; • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
