The Trade and International Economic Relations (TIER) cluster drives the formulation of Singapore's foreign economic policy and safeguards Singapore's economic interests in the international economic arena. As a TIER officer in the North East Asia (NEA) Division in MTI, you will join a team of dedicated and creative colleagues to: • Develop and implement Singapore's strategy of engaging the markets in NEA, including China. • Engage in international trade diplomacy • Support official trips, study visits and business missions. • Play an impactful role in helping Singapore build good relations with these countries and gain economically from the growth of the region. • Relevant field of study in Economics, Political Science, International Relations, or related disciplines. • Excellent analytical, communication, written and negotiation skills. • Prior experience in formulating and reviewing policy matters is preferred. • Willingness to travel. • Proficiency in Chinese language is preferred to engage the markets in NEA (including China).
