Business Development Manager (IoT)

Morgan McKinley is partnering with a global client to hire for a Business Development Manager to drive market expansion and commercial growth for their smart solutions (IoT) platform in Singapore. You will take full ownership of end-to-end business building-from market positioning and pipeline generation to client engagement and deal closing-while partnering closely with the R&D team on technical solution design and engineering support. Key Responsibilities: Define value propositions and execute go-to-market strategies for target segments in Singapore, including residential, commercial, industrial, and smart buildings. Craft solution narratives focused on energy optimization, system integration, security, and LoRaWAN connectivity. Identify and develop new business opportunities through active engagement with developers, system integrators, building owners, and enterprise clients. Independently manage the end-to-end sales lifecycle, from lead generation and proposal creation through to negotiation and deal closing. Analyze customer requirements and translate complex technical needs into clear solution concepts and value propositions. Collaborate closely with R&D teams to design system architectures, build technical proposals, and present compelling ROI models to clients. Transform core platform capabilities into standardized, scalable, and repeatable solution packages (e.g., smart building, energy optimization, IoT platform). Contribute to pricing strategies and commercial framework design to support repeatable, scalable business growth. Establish and manage strategic ecosystem partnerships with system integrators, property developers, and LoRaWAN connectivity partners to generate joint opportunities. Drive brand presence and thought leadership in Singapore through sales collateral creation (demos, case studies, pitch decks), pilot projects, workshops, and industry seminars. Key Requirements: 4-8 years of experience in Business Development, Solution Sales, or Solution Marketing, with a proven track record of owning revenue targets and closing deals independently. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Building, Architecture, Business, or a related field. Working knowledge in at least two domains: IoT/LoRaWAN, Smart Buildings/Homes, Energy/HVAC, or Security/ELV systems. Self-driven hunter who can independently generate leads, open doors, and close deals without dedicated sales support. Skilled at translating complex technical solutions into clear business value, with strong presentation, proposal, and negotiation abilities.
