Procurement Assistant

About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Assistant to support our procurement operations within the construction industry. You’ll be responsible for assisting with purchasing materials, equipment, and services essential to our construction projects. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a solid understanding of supply chains, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: ● Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors. ● Support tendering processes and assist in evaluating quotations. ● Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in accordance with company policies. ● Follow up with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any order discrepancies or delays. ● Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and supplier performance. ● Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. ● Coordinate logistics for delivery to project sites and verify receipt of goods for payment processing ● Other ad hoc duties as assigned Requirements: ● Education: Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or related fields. ● Experience: 2-5 years in a procurement role, ideally in the construction or engineering industry. ● Communication with offshore shared services is required ● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience and knowledge of SAP is a plus. ● Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. ● Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
