Quantity Surveyor (Tender & Commercial Executive / Senior QS)

Job Responsibilities You will be responsible for the full commercial and tender process including: Tender & Estimation Prepare detailed cost estimates Review tender drawings and specifications Take-off quantities accurately Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ) Request and compare supplier/subcontractor quotations Prepare tender submissions Conduct value engineering and cost optimisation Quantity Surveying Prepare quotations and cost proposals Prepare variation order (VO) quotations Cost analysis and budgeting Material quantity verification Cost planning throughout project lifecycle Track project costs against budget Contract Administration Review contracts and identify commercial risks Prepare subcontract agreements Prepare payment claims Evaluate subcontractor claims Prepare final accounts Assist with contract negotiations Project Commercial Support Monitor project cost performance Forecast project profitability Identify potential cost overruns Prepare commercial reports Assist Project Managers on cost matters Business Improvement We are looking for someone who is willing to contribute beyond the typical QS role by helping us: Improve quotation templates Improve tender workflow Standardize costing database Develop pricing history database Improve commercial documentation Streamline QS processes Build a strong commercial department Requirements Minimum Diploma or Degree in: Quantity Surveying Building Construction Management Civil Engineering M&E Engineering or related discipline Experience: 3–8 years relevant QS experience preferred Experience in Singapore construction industry Experience in Electrical / M&E projects will be an advantage Experience with HDB, BCA or Government projects is preferred Technical Skills Must have: Quantity Take-off Cost Estimation Tender Preparation BQ Preparation Variation Orders Progress Claims Final Accounts Contract Administration Good to have: Microsoft Excel (Advanced) AutoCAD drawing reading Bluebeam (advantage) Planswift/Cubit (advantage) CostX (advantage) Soft Skills We value attitude more than titles.
